The new release of FHIR Implementation Guide for ABDM Build 4.0.0 is available here with the below updates: (https://nrces.in/ndhm/fhir/r4/index.html)

  1. InsurancePlan profile enhanced and introduced extensions to incorporate information like;
  • ClaimSupportingInforRequirement: To list the necessary documents required for the claim
  • ClaimExclusion: To list out excluded coverages within a health insurance product
  • ClaimCondition: To list different conditions and criteria that are required to successfully claim benefits under a coverage
  1. New resource profiles introduced to support invoices (Invoice, ChargeItem, Medication)
  2. OPConsultRecord profiles enhanced, added a section to include information regarding referrals.
  3. Updated code and display for Follow-up section in OPConsultRecord
  4. New CodeSystems introduced: Billing Codes, Price Components.
  5. New ValueSets introduced: Price Components, Invoice Types, ChargeItem Types.
  6. Bugs & Improvements
