How to get Self Requested Health Record without consent request?

Hi @sukreet @mdubey,

Is it possible to get a health record for ourselves without consent request?

i.e. In PHR mobile app after we linked care context from the HIP, we can click the Get data button or perform Pull to Refresh on the RECORDS tab it will send granted consent to HIP and HIP will push the data.

Here we didn’t generate any consent request or grant it. Without any consent request, we can see our health record in PHR mobile app.

We want to implement the same functionality. Is it possible?

Thanks.

Hi @slamba,

The short answer is “No”. Even the PHR Mobile app has a HIU as a backend. It does raise a consent-request when patient wants to view it’s own data. The consent-manager know this HIU and the consent-request gets auto-approved for this HIU by cosent-manager, that’s why there is no explicit grant by the patient themselves.

It is not possible to bypass the consent flow by anyone. Could you please explain us your usecase.

Thank you

Yes sure @mdubey .

We have mobile application for health care of Citizens. In this application we are providing various features like sending health tips daily relevant to user’s current health condition, high quality interactive video in English, Hindi and Gujarati will explain various important concepts, dos and don’t to the expectant mother for delivering a health baby, etc.

Along with all this feature we are planning to integrate NDHM HIU APIs in mobile application so that user can see its health records like doctor’s prescriptions, lab reports etc.

So here in our case, user want to see its own health records. And for that we wanted to know is there any way to show health record without consent request or not.

HI @slamba,

Thanks for clarifying your usecase. What you are describing here would be a usecase of another PHR scenario. We are working on policies on how to allow the other organizations to build their own PHR apps which can be used instead of the PHR App.

However the NDHM team is still working on formalising the policies and constructs. It will be announced on the devforum once ready.
