diagnostic imaging report media compulsory but not so with lab report?
Diagnostic imaging report would always have some imaging media produced based on which the conclusion and results are provided. However in case of Laboratory report the images are not always required (e.g., images of slides showing the pathogens/microbs).
If you have a clinical use case, where diagnostic imaging report do not require a image/media, then please share that at nrc-help@cdac.in for further taking it forward.
true Diagnostic imaging do have images but many a times the images are not stored at max print is given.
storing images in cloud become expensive thing so i thought sometimes diagnositic images without media
Yes, the same is expected. The images to be shared (the way print copies are given to patients) in diagnostic reports.
One can compress the image if it’s the issue of image size (JPG/PDF support is allowed) or shares a DCM image (with/without compressed media). The Media resource also has the provision to share the media URL (which currently may not be a feasible option in ABDM). The MAX file size and multipart image sharing related topics are still in discussion and as of now, there is no restriction on it.
