Not getting OTP on linking care context on PHR app

We are working with the PHR app and have some records against the health id in created through the EMR portal. We are able to discover the care contexts in the PHR app, but when we link, an OTP is supposed to be sent, but we are not getting that OTP to proceed.

Hey @neeraj.test1,

The issue raised due to OTP not received / verified from HIP side as the HIP system sends an OTP to the patient’s phone number,

Dear Shubhanshu,

Thanks a ton for the reply.

We were creating the medical record in emrsbx.ndhm.gov.in. And then trying to link in the sample PHR app post logging in and discovering the health facility. Isn’t the HIP corresponding to it supposed to send the OTP to the mobile no registered with the health id. Where am I thinking wrong?

Neeraj

Hey @neeraj.test1,

Well generally it is the case, but for scenario where user has registered with different no. and have registered another Mobile No. while availing service at HIP,
Now HIP will have to cross check at their end if the linking being done form their end is of that same patient or not.
This verification is at HIP end so take it as they are unaware of what no. you have registered with Health Id while they will cross check with the no. provided to them.
Hope it Helps.

Thank You

The flow never asked a phone number. Added using my existing health id. Did ask for an OTP during registration and that is what i provided to add the patient.

Now shouldn’t this Linking time OTP be sent to the same number as is associated with the health id.

Sandbox is now constantly throwing “Session Has Been Expired”. Even clearning cookies/data, it doesn’t go away. Something at the backend not letting in.

Neeraj

Hey @neeraj.test1,

No, because this is not from app end. It is from HIP end.
Please go through the doc provided above. It will help you in a broader way.

It takes some time to clear previous activity.
You can try later.

Thank You

Dear Subhanshu,

Thanks a lot for the revert. I understand the concepts and know that it is HIP’s responsisbility. I was of the opinion that the EMR sandbox is all integrated and the associated HIP(s) is working fine, we just need to add a health id, upload medical records and get started. My thouhgt was that to develop a PHR app, all we need is to just get go about finding and linking care contexts, etc. thereon.

Thanks for the clarification anyhow. Cool, will try again later post the activity is cleared. Thanks for this piece of info.

Regards,
Neeraj
